Commenting on other people's blogs is a tried and tested method of increasing a blog's popularity.
But don't get bothered if you don't see a surge in traffic in the beginning. Keep commeneting, and spice it with quality content on your blog. Don't doubt the method, you'll be surprised to see your traffic rise, once you put in the initial effort.
